workshop to develop musical material, working with composer Dorothy Ker and mathematician Marcus du Sautoy in live space
Six instrumental musicians engaged in a series of games based on mathematical concepts, exploring different ways of organising sound through a developing understanding of geometries and numerical sequences. The workshop was the latest stage in early-stage research towards a new music theatre project for Spring 2008 'The Nineteenth Step' stimulated by the writings of Jorge Luis Borges.
